The easiest way is to book your flights to Frankfurt Airport (FRA). From there, you can take a fast train (ICE) from “Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf” (Frankfurt Airport Long-Distance Train Station) that arrives in “Hauptbahnhof Mannheim” (Mannheim main station) within 35 minutes.

Mannheim and Ludwigshafen are „twin cities“. These are two cities, which are only separated by the Rhine River, with practically no distance between them. This means that you can look for accommodations in both cities.
